1. About Aura

What is Aura? Aura is a private, AI-powered wellness companion that helps you manage stress, anxiety, and everyday emotions. You can chat with Aura, do guided exercises, journal, track your mood, and follow structured programs to support long-term growth.

Who created Aura? Sky Assistant LLC develops Aura, a team focused on creating safe, human-centered AI tools for mental and emotional wellbeing.

Is Aura a therapist or doctor? No. Aura and Ash (Aura’s AI guide) do not provide medical or mental health diagnoses, treatment, or emergency care. Aura offers self-help tools and educational support. It is not a replacement for a therapist, counselor, or doctor.


2. How Aura Works

How does Aura learn from me? When you choose to save your conversations, journals, and check-ins, Aura uses that history to remember context and personalize guidance, reflections, and suggestions over time. If you delete items or your account, Aura will no longer use that data.

What’s the difference between Aura Basic and Aura Pro?

  • Aura Basic (Free)
    • Unlimited AI text chat
    • Daily check-ins
    • Basic companion experience
    • Limited access to wellness content and courses
    • Fundamental mood insights (e.g., recent patterns)
  • Aura Pro (Paid)
    • Everything in Basic, plus:
    • Advanced companion customization
    • Full guided wellness & course library
    • Unlimited live voice sessions (where available)
    • Advanced mood analytics and longer-term insights
    • Early access to new tools and features

Feature availability may vary slightly by region and platform.

Can Aura detect when I’m in crisis? Aura may sometimes surface crisis resources if certain risk signals appear in your text, but it does not continuously monitor or guarantee detection. If you are in immediate danger or considering self-harm, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline right away.


3. Privacy & Data Protection

Is my data private? Yes. Aura is designed to be a private, judgment-free space. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is tightly restricted.

Who can see my conversations with Aura? Your conversations are private and are stored so Aura can remember context and support long-term progress. Team access is strictly limited and only used where necessary to operate, secure, or improve the service as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete individual messages, journals, or your entire account at any time.

Does Aura sell my data or use it for ads? No. Aura does not sell your personal information and does not use your content for third-party targeted advertising.

10. What is “Help improve Aura”? “Help improve Aura” is an optional setting. If you turn it on, we may use de-identified text from your conversations to improve features, AI models, and safety systems. Personal identifiers are removed, and voice audio is not used for this purpose. You can turn this off at any time.

Does Aura store my voice recordings? By default, no. If you use voice, the audio is processed to create a response and then discarded—unless you explicitly enable a feature that requires storage (like saved voice notes). Those saved voice files remain until you delete them.

Can I download or delete my data? Yes. You can:

  • Delete messages, journals, or other items individually
  • Request export of your data
  • Delete your account, which removes your personal data, subject to limited legal and safety obligations.

4. Subscriptions, Free Trial & Payments

Is Aura free? Aura offers a free Basic experience with core features. To unlock all tools and content, you can subscribe to Aura Pro.

How does the 7-day free trial work? When you start a trial, you get full access to Aura Pro for 7 days at no charge. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically at the plan and price shown (for example, $9.99/month). You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

What subscription plans do you offer? Plans may include:

  • Monthly (e.g., $9.99/month)
  • Quarterly (billed every 3 months at a discounted rate)
  • Annual (billed once per year at the best value)

Exact prices, discounts, and currencies depend on your region and platform (App Store, Google Play, or web).

How do I cancel my subscription? It depends on where you subscribed:

  • Apple App Store (iOS) Go to your Apple ID > Subscriptions and cancel Aura there.
  • Google Play (Android) Go to Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions and cancel Aura.
  • Aura website (if available) Go to your account settings on talkwithaura.com and manage your subscription.

Deleting the app alone does not cancel your subscription.

Do you offer refunds? Refunds for purchases through Apple or Google are handled under their respective policies. For web purchases, eligibility may depend on local law and our Terms of Use. If you have questions, contact support@talkwithaura.com.


5. Therapy, Wellness & Safety

Can Aura help with anxiety, stress, or low mood? Yes. Aura offers tools such as:

  • Grounding and breathing exercises
  • Journaling prompts
  • Mood tracking and insights
  • Guided wellness programs and courses
  • Supportive conversations with Ash, Aura’s AI guide

These can be helpful for everyday emotional challenges—but they are not a substitute for professional therapy.

What should I do if I’m in crisis? If you’re in crisis, at risk of harming yourself, or in immediate danger:

  • Call your local emergency number right away, or
  • Contact a crisis hotline or trusted professional in your area.

Aura cannot provide emergency or crisis intervention.

Will Aura contact emergency services for me? No. Aura cannot automatically contact emergency services on your behalf. In rare situations, and only where legally permitted, we may review limited information and provide crisis resources to help keep you safe, consistent with our Privacy Policy.


6. Account & Technical Questions

Do I need an account to use Aura? You can explore some information without an account, but you’ll need an account to:

  • Save your history
  • Sync across devices
  • Use personalized features and insights.

Which devices does Aura support? Aura is available on compatible iOS and Android devices, and may also be available on the web (where supported). Check your app store for details.

I’m not receiving my verification or reset email. What should I do? Try these steps:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Make sure you entered the correct email address
  3. Wait a few minutes and try again

If you still don’t receive it, contact us at support@talkwithaura.com.

Aura seems slow or unresponsive. How can I fix this? Try:

  • Closing and reopening the app
  • Checking your internet connection
